The Journey of the Water Drop - Musical tale written and performed by Yasmine Benseba

Story Tell! Tale! The Water is Here!

Salt water, spring water, well water, river water, stream water, and lake water; water irrigates the stories of peoples and civilizations across the world. In the Mediterranean, but also in Africa. Collective life is organized around the myth of water.

Sometimes sacred, sometimes profane, in canoes and sometimes in the rain, water is present in tales and legends, thus flooding the history of humanity. It is a universal good but also a vital force.

The approach is to raise awareness among the new generation about environmental protection and the respect and value of water.

Yasmine Benseba's tale is thus perfectly consistent and harmonious with the Europe-Africa Biennial program. We are delighted to invite children and families to the Maison des Choeurs on Wednesday, October 12th, to come and be moved by this beautiful show, The Journey of the Water Drop.

Story written and performed by Yasmine Benseba

"Nothing grows in this arid spring in a remote village of rainbow colors.

In the evening, the facades of the houses are blue. In the morning, everything is ochre. It is drought. Not a drop of water. How to feed the men, women, children and animals? How to make it rain? " It was then that Aicha decided to go to the top of the mountain to implore the spirit of water!!!

Through the lyrical voice of Yasmine Benseba; the journey of the drop of water takes us from the Aurès to Mont Ventoux via Pic Saint Loup

It is a mixed and universal tale about the value of water across peoples and continents.
