This captivating season offers a multitude of events and activities designed to inspire, educate, and entertain a wide audience.
At the heart of this African Season is an artist residency, where talented African artists are invited to explore new forms of expression and create unique works. This residency promotes cultural exchange and fosters collaboration between African artists and their international counterparts, creating an environment conducive to innovation and artistic diversity.
The season's exhibition is a captivating visual journey through Africa's rich artistic traditions. Striking sculptures, expressive paintings, and bold installations bring to life unique stories and perspectives, offering visitors an immersive and emotional experience.
As part of the African Season, artistic awakening workshops for children are offered, allowing young minds to discover and explore their creativity through fun and educational activities. These workshops also provide a valuable opportunity to raise children's awareness of the richness and diversity of African art.
Artistic performances are a central feature of the African Season, offering moments of magic and wonder. Artists captivate the audience with their energy, grace, and virtuosity. These performances reflect the vibrancy and vitality of the contemporary African art scene.

OCTOBER 14 PROGRAM:
10:00 AM – Mouloud the Pan-Africanist
A road movie following Mouloud, a lover of Africa, as he wanders the streets of Algiers, from one scene and concert to another during Panaf 2009 — a continental festival where the arts and cultures of Africa paraded through song, music, and dance from 53 countries.
Throughout his journey, Mouloud discovers another Africa — the varied and multifaceted one of poets like Senghor and Césaire, thinkers like Bernard Dadié and Frantz Fanon, and icons like Madiba and Mama Africa. He realizes that while "a poem is only complete when it becomes song, speech, and music at once," Africa still bears the scars of mass deportations and the plight of girls deprived of education, embodying the struggle of oppressed African women.
2:00 PM – The Ticket at Any Price
In a modest neighborhood of Abidjan during the presidential elections, BONY, a 35-year-old unemployed man, sees his life change when he wins 1 billion CFA francs in the lottery. But he can only cash in his winnings after the weekend and must present the winning ticket.
Can he survive being identified as a future billionaire in such a neighborhood?
4:00 PM – Too Perfect a Friend
Anna and Florence are best friends. But when Jean, Anna’s father, begins a romantic relationship with Florence and decides to take her as a second wife, tensions rise.
Will Linda, Jean’s current wife, accept sharing her husband with Florence, whom she sees as a daughter?
And will Anna accept her best friend becoming her mother’s rival?
6:00 PM – Under Pressure
A 45-minute medium-length film about five childhood friends now in their 30s, each facing different romantic challenges. Although successful in their careers, their love lives are in turmoil. The film also marks the return of one of them, who had been living in France for years but, overwhelmed by the COVID crisis, decides to return to Africa to start a new chapter.
OCTOBER 15 PROGRAM:
10:00 AM – DNA
Esmelle, a mentally ill young woman in the village, gives birth to a son after being assaulted by several men. The boy, Dieudonné, is brilliant and receives a government scholarship to study in France. Upon returning, he becomes an engineer and a company director.
Entering politics, he must prove — as per the constitution — that both parents are from the region. Knowing he has no father, Dieudonné launches an investigation to find him among the men who assaulted his mother 23 years ago. A French lab team arrives in the village to conduct DNA tests on all men from that time — even the dead.
Will Dieudonné find his biological father?
2:00 PM – Space Agents: The Mysterious Ax
Thanks to the discovery of Gravitonium — a force that enhanced human physical and mental capacities — Earth has colonized space. Humanity formed the Alliance to regulate intergalactic resources and conflicts.
But the Saurians, a race of super soldiers empowered by Gravitonium, threaten this balance. When the ship ESPÉRANCE is attacked, two Space Agents are dispatched to secure its cargo — the future of humankind...
4:00 PM – Dear Marabout
Rose and Richard appear to be the perfect couple, living in a luxury villa in Cocody. Everything seems to be going well until an auditor arrives to examine Richard's company accounts. Panic sets in. Like many businessmen, Richard has been inflating invoices at the expense of the state.
Desperate, the couple turns to a powerful marabout to fix their problems. Charismatic and charming, the marabout takes charge — but soon becomes too involved in their lives, threatening to destabilize the couple itself.
6:00 PM – Banel & Adama
Banel and Adama live in a remote village in northern Senegal. Deeply in love, they aspire to build a life together in their own home, separate from their families.
But their dream will challenge deep-rooted traditions and bring them face to face with the cost of freedom and choice in a rigid world.
