KUTU was born from a Franco-Ethiopian project imagined by violinist Théo Ceccaldi (Jazz Migration winner and elected musician of the year by Jazz magazine in 2014, also the revelation of the Victoires du Jazz 2017). His meeting with the Ethiopian singer Hewan Gebrewold during a trip to Addis Ababa gave birth to a project at the crossroads of continents and musical genres. This patchwork side allows Théo Ceccaldi and his acolytes to produce completely hypnotic pieces, where the voices like the music call for letting go.
